About Group reveal new single ‘Don’t Worry’

“Don’t Worry” is the new single released from About Group’s second album, “Start and Complete”, and quite possibly one of the loveliest, most straightforward pop songs the band have recorded to date. Listen to it below.

Warmly engaging and gorgeously soulful, the beautiful classicism of “Don’t Worry” belies the brilliantly eclectic way it came together, with the band recording the entire album in one day at Abbey Road, based on tracks written by Taylor over the last few years. Some – but not all the members, were given the tracks beforehand, with the goal being, in essence, that no one member would know the songs well enough to have specific parts, or be prevented from playing the first thing that came into their head. The result was an endlessly inventive album run almost entirely on instinct and musical intuition, with “Don’t Worry” being one of the sublime high points.

Also, following rare live stints at Cafe Oto and Dazed Live the past few months, About Group will be playing some more shows this coming summer, with a May headline show of their own at Water Rats, followed by a set at Field Day in August.
