Those Dancing Days – Can’t Find Entrance (Wichita)

Opening with a high-production Katy Perry-esque storming glamorous and sparkling epic synth, ‘Can’t Find Entrance’ rockets through a worked-up exuberant rattling hi-hat and classy pinpoint accurate disco stomp. This classy 5-piece Stockholm girl gang throw together euphoric White Lies redolent peaks and sense of occasion, and Swedish heart-strung dancefloor fillers, to produce a searching pop number.

Max Martin, the golden pen scribing pop song champion whose past successes with Kelis, The Veronicas and the already mentioned Perry have stood him in good staid, co-wrote this shimmering blazing single. His usual metaphoric rich lyrics include a vista of mountaintops and gushing despair, which the girls should be applauded for pulling off with conviction: I mean get a load of this, “Gold turns to silver in my hands so I’m casing out the sky, I really hope my new star doesn’t turn to dust”.

You’ll be hard-pressed to find a more perfect 3-minute bundle of succinct pulchritude pop this side of the cool boundary: I’m smitten.
