Preaching from the Pews: Among Brothers

If you live in the South West and know good music from bad, chances are you’ll already have stumbled across Among Brothers. Based in Cardiff, the six-piece have carved the way through their local scene to support bands like The Thermals, and draw comparison to acts as diverse as Efterklang, Sigur Ros, Grammatics and Anathallo.

Among Brothers’ self-styled take on prog-folk has also provided them with ample praise via their debut EP Homes. It’s now romping up notches on the hype-o-meter with new single “Lovers”. Both records have seen the light of day through the equally dependable Barely Regal Records and can be ordered from here.

The band are currently on a UK tour – a site worth seeing! Check out their dates here.
