Big Wave Riders – ‘Republic Of The Average’ (Paperfangs Remix)

papaerfangs

Big Wave Riders hail from Helsinki, Finland. They are inspired by waves, echoes and experimental rhythms with an electronic touch. Big Wave Riders are influenced by the music that touched them most when they were teenagers. To quote Big Wave Riders : “Our music is not trying to fit into any certain genre. We make music without mathematics or accurate calculations. The songs are fast, slow, rhythmic and with variety”

Big Wave Riders  are about to release their first official release in the self-titled EP (out Sept. 7th via Soliti).  The 7 song digital release will feature remixes of older songs mixed with new tracks along with the track “Behind These Walls”

BIG WAVE RIDERS are : Teppo vocals & guitar, Aleksi bass & bvoc, Anssi guitar & bvoc, Pete drums, Lauri sax & synth.

Fellow Helsinki trio, Paperfangs have remixed the track, adding their glossy synth-laden take on the track. Ppaperfangs is audial, visual and audiovisual – a collective of three creative young daydreamers scattered across Finland – Paperfangs is Juri, Tarleena and Mikko. Since an early age, all three have been working with music and visual design leading to the conception of Paperfangs. Vocalist, Juri shares the musical composition and song writing duties with his sister Tarleena, who also plays many of the instruments you will hear in their music, while Mikko controls the band’s visual side. In a devilish plan to take over the world, Paperfangs are giving us something to sink our teeth into.
