She’s relatively established as an artist, but nevertheless Kyla La Grange remains underrepresented in the recording world. That’s all about to change, as the London singer-songwriter and Cambridge Philosophy graduate plans to release her as-of-yet-untitled debut album in early 2012. It’s anticipated by a single, “Heavy Stone”, available now through Chess Club Records.

Kyla’s no stranger to the media limelight. Following the online success of her demos “Vampire Smile” and “Lambs”, the industry has barely left her alone. Unsurprisingly her persona is as infectious as her music; she’s got the Addams Family video collection to match her haunted graveyard, Bonnie Tyler rasp (see below). She’s also got the collaborative repertoire, having worked with Wolf Gang, Brett Shaw, Rollo Armstrong and the Communion Records pack.

Kyla’s also a great pioneer of free downloads, and she’s made most of her back catalogue available to the public at some point. To get your hands on what’s still about, scroll down.
