Jeff Mangum, Joanna Newsom & Magnetic Fields for rescheduled ATP in March

>jeffmangumratp

In March 2012 All Tomorrow’s Parties will present the ATP curated by Jeff Mangum festival at Butlin’s Holiday Centre, Minehead, UK. The weekend was originally set to run this December, but has been rescheduled to take place on the 9th-11th March. Neutral Milk Hotel’s Jeff Mangum will headline and curate.Joanna Newsom, Magnetic Fields will also appear.

After releasing one of the most loved & critically acclaimed albums of the 1990s (In The Aeroplane Over The Sea), Neutral Milk Hotel disbanded before many of those who now love their albums had a chance to see the songs performed live, so Jeff’s much anticipated return will be a very special occasion for fans. As well as headlining, Mangum will choose around 40 acts to play across the weekend on three indoor stages with a total festival capacity of around 5500 people. Mangum will perform more than once in the more intimate Centre Stage venue, although entry to only one show is guaranteed – he will be performing a solo acoustic set.

Due to receiving many enquiries in the last few years regarding families attending, for this event and moving forward we have decided to launch new Family Tickets. For full info on how to book (childrens tickets for ages 5-12 are available for £50 per child) see the ATP website. The ATP site also has info on tickets for under 18s aged above 12.

People who would like to pay a deposit of £70/£80 per ticket for a 4 person apartment now, with the rest payable at the end of February can do so via the Deposit/Installment Ticket Scheme.

ATP would like to once again offer an apology to everyone that was inconvenienced by the rescheduling, to thank them for their understanding, and we hope people will be able to make the new event and enjoy the line-up! The artists from the original line-up who will appear in March are:

New Additions:

We are very excited to add some new artists to the line-up. Joining our headliners we’re proud to confirm indie rock legends The Magnetic Fields who will make a very rare festival appearance (their ATP debut) at the event. We can also confirm cult indie rock group Versus who play an extremely rare UK show at the festival. Another Jeff Mangum/Elephant 6-affiliated group joins us in the shape of The Music Tapes, as well as Group Doueh from the Western Sahara, and finally we can confirm that, after they sadly had to pull out of the December line-up, we can re-confirm Mike Watt & George Hurley perform the songs of the Minutemen for March.

Every ticket includes private accommodation in a heated apartment with TVs, beds, bathroom facilities and kitchens (in Self Catered apartments) – and all performances take place indoors so no need to worry about mud or weather! The event also includes DJs, Cinema and much more. With many more artists are to be added to the line-up in the coming weeks, here’s how it currently looks:
