Preaching from the Pews: No Ceremony///

The haunting melancholic falscettos and spooky synth textures of Manchester’s No Ceremony/// ‘DELIVERUS’ have recently made the mysterious Manchester outfit ‘most blogged about act’s on the internet according to The Independent and have featured on a Diplo mixtape. Their first tracks including ‘Hurtlove’ showed a more electronic thump with some inventive vocal dynamics, while ‘DELIVERUS’ potentially gives us a peek into No Ceremony///’s grand potential, one which lays bare the shivvering human consdition decorated by minimal imagery(and artwork) of war, past struggles of a working class that no longer exists. It’s this potential that leads many to hope that this Manchester outfit won’t quite be the damp squib that many felt WU LY FY were when they finally showed their full hand.

Watch the affecting black and white video spliced with historical imagery they’ve assembled to accompany ‘DELIVERUS’ below.

No Ceremony// apparently have a new release planned for the new year, we will be giving away special vinyl copies.
