Preaching from the Pews: Kotki Dwa

kdOfficial SiteMySpaceBandCamp

Polish raised playful avant garde pop act Kotki Dwa released their new EP Lunch in November. Stream the super title track below, a riot in the lunchroom! The Lunch Ep is bulging  with mulitple instrumental sounds, suprising rhythmic detours, off kilter melodies and absurdist wordplay!

The band’s story is peppered with impressive curiosities. Their track “Le Beau Charcutier” was picked by Graham Coxon and Basement Jaxx, amongst others, to appear in the Tate Modern art gallery. They have curated Polish papercutting workshops on London’s Southbank in arms with The Polish Cultural Institute, and they are currently collaborating with food fetishists ‘The Robin Collective’ to launch their EP.

The release of Lunch in November was a welcome serving for an audience starved of new Kotki material for too long. Lovingly hand-packaged in sandwich bags, the new record will prove a taste of bigger things to come, with promises of a full LP in 2012.
