Letters start something. Alternative music debuts for Edinburgh Fringe in Creative Scotland 2012Playhard proudly presents Mark Morriss, Letters and special guests
at Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2012.

BandWagon takes 11th-14th August 2012 ‘StageTime: The Art Of Live Performance’ at The Space. On Tuesday 14th August; Playhard proudly presents a late night live entertainment party from Midnight with a special line up including LETTERS, and Mark Morriss (of the Bluetones)…

The Edinburgh band recently released their debut four track EP ‘Older Motion Pictures’ digitally via God Is In The TV Records. From the instrumental rock dexterity of opener ‘Explosions’ with it’s early My Vitriol style dynamism, to the haunting title track, they possess a sky scraping ambition and the power to move a listener instrumentally and emotionally. These songs depict Letters’ growing maturity and represent a sonic progression of their throbbing dark cello pop sound.

This new EP follows recent single, *’The Halfway House’ *(played on Radio1 Session in Scotland as well as winning approval of Artrocker, CMU, The Scotsman Newspaper and music gurus like Jim Gellatly, Steve Lamacq and Vic Galloway.

LETTERS’ have caused a ripple in the blogosphere north and south of the border which have earned them support slots with One Little Indian’s ‘Wild Palms’ and slots at Rockness and Wickerman Festivals.

*”Dark, atmospheric, with some epic-sounding drums washing over the end.” *(Drowned In Sound).

*”I’m loving It!”** *Steve Lamacq
