TGIF: What was number one on your Birthday?!

Thank God It’s Friday eh? This is a new weekly feature where I ask you one simple question, just as a bit of fun to see in the weekend. This idea was inspired by listening to R2 late last night and the theme of Number one on your birthday was being discussed. So I typed the 7th of March 1980 into this website http://www.everyhit.com/number4.html, and was delighted to find out that mine is Blondie’s marvelous icy-new wave-disco classic ‘Atomic’..

So that’s it, what was number one on your birthday? And do you like the single? Or not?!

  1. Mine was Going Underground by The Jam, what a track as well. Was the second week of 3 at number 1 for it, 6th April 1980. My oldest daughter had Life is a Rollercoaster by Ronan Keating but redeemed herself by having Coldplay – Parachutes as number 1 album. My oldest son, poor boy, had Daniel Bedingfield – I Gotta Get Through This for single AND album! My youngest daughter had Metallica for single AND album and my wee one had B.O.B – Airplanes… A bit of a mixed bag. Think mine was the best of them though to be honest.
