PREVIEW: Primavera Festival

PREVIEW: Primavera Festival

This past week the Barcelona leg of Primavera unveiled what many are regarding as ‘the best festival line-up, like, ever’ and this year drunk festival goers will get the privilege of reincarnating the gangnam style to such acts as: Blur, The Knife, The Postal Service, The Breeders, The Jesus & Mary Chain, Shellac, Swans, My Bloody Valentine and Wu Tang Clan just to name a few (Personally I would avoid the gangnam style if you are towards the front of the crowd for Swans…)

As well as all the greats of modern day music the bill has a healthy line-up that includes many of GIITTVS album’s of the year (here I go again): Tame Impala, Animal Collective, Grizzly Bear, Death Grips, Killer Mike, Metz, Solange, How to Dress Well, Crystal Castles, Goat, Liars and so on and so on and so on.

If you are reading this and still not certain on whether to get yourself to Primavera, what if I told you Dinosaur Jr. Fucked Up, Hot Snakes, Daniel Johnston, Omar Souleyman, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, Fidlar and Mac Demarco were also on the bill?! And what if, up until right now I forgot to mention that tickets are only 160€ which equates to about £135, bargain!

Primavera Barcelona falls on the 22nd of May til the 26th and its sister date of Primavera Porto is May 30th – 1st June
