Track Of The Day #259: Fat White Family – Special Ape

Dirty and depraved Brixton weirdo art-punks FAT WHITE FAMILY dance gleefully on Thatcher’s grave in their new video ‘Special Ape’, a nightmarish scene laced with Beefheart-esque blues squawks and grimy-buzzes that reverberate around their Brixton base – The Queen’s Head.

Their presser says “despite the inevitable incidents of chaos, blood, nudity and weirdness that have plagued the first year of their mission, they are still the band that everyone in London wants to see” whether we want to or not eh?!

“Special Ape” is lifted from their eclectic debut album Champaign Holocaust and is released 20th May on Trashmouth Records and the band are playing Shacklewell Arms on the 4th May, with more dates to follow(check below).

Upcoming Gig:
4th May @ Shacklewell Arms, 71 Shacklewell Lane, E8
17th May @ Power Lunches, 446 Kingsland Rd, E8 // Album Launch Party
