Track Of The Day #187: Johnny Marr - European Me

Primal Scream, Paloma Faith, Johnny Marr and Laura Mvula head to Isle of Man Festival

Primal Scream, Paloma Faith, the legendary Johnny Marr and Laura Mvula and a host of new music acts descend upon The Isle of Man Festival that takes place on the Island in the middle of the Irish Sea on 6th July 2013. Easy to reach by plane or ferry, the organizers Rockingmann say “”Alcatel One Touch presents The Isle Of Man Festival in association with MTV and there’s every chance this festival could develop into the new Isle of Wight Festival or Bestival for those living in The North, Republic and Northern Ireland, Scotland and The Midlands.”

According to those in charge there will be a range of sounds for all tastes too “Club heads can also enjoy the largest ever dance arena on the Island and the cream of the UK’s club scene in the Ministry of Sound tent.

Day tickets start from a value for money price of £55 or if you want a bit more from your Island stay, 2 nights camping starts from just £85 for 2 nights. Result! Even if you’re not one for the ‘pack on your back’ approach to camping, you can always pay a little extra to have a tent included in the fee and ready pitched for you.”

The island’s first true music festival will take place in Noble’s Park, Douglas, set against the stunning backdrop of the Irish Sea coastline and the world-famous Motorcycle TT Grandstand.

One of the many festival features will be a ‘Chill and Charge’ tent featuring a digital graffiti wall and a unique and colourful ‘Holi Festival’ paint extravaganza created by Gandy’s Flip Flops ‘Orphans for Orphans’ campaign supported by the festival.”
