NEW EP: Casual Sex ‘The Bastard Beat’

Glaswegian purveyors of sleazy, danceable indie, Casual Sex have been confirmed as the support act for Franz Ferdinand on their upcoming US tour. A slot they’ll no doubt fit right into, given the similarities in their sounds and influences. New record The Bastard Beat EP’ will be released on November 11th through We Can Still Picnic as a limited edition 12-inch, as well as a digital download available from all the usual suspects.

Recorded in Green Door, the analogue studio co-directed by the bands vocalist Sam Smith in Glasgow no doubt afforded them all the recording time they needed to get the sound just right.

Listen to the clap-laden, disco influenced lead track ‘Nothing on Earth’ below.
