Pure Love – 'The Hurricane'

Pure Love – ‘The Hurricane’

Just like the energy drink that lies behind its promotion, Pure Love’s new song ‘The Hurricane’ is absolutely relentless. Captured here live in Manchester it is a bouncing bomb of pure rock and roll, guaranteed to blow you away.

Pure Love is the musical union of that illustrated man and former Gallows’ singer Frank Carter and the ex-Hope Conspiracy guitarist Jim Carroll. Together they recorded their début album Anthems and then before they could properly enjoy their honeymoon, their record label Mercury promptly jilted them.

Destined for what would have been their second Mercury album, ‘The Hurricane’, the song, forms part of The Hurricane, the documentary. Written, filmed and directed by Ross Cairns (creativities director of Relentless Energy Drink) it catches all of the filth, fury and sheer bloody determination of these two musicians in their efforts to carry on regardless following their wholesale rejection.
