NEWS: Deer Shed Festival announces its first acts for 2015

hero6The family friendly music, arts and science festival has just unveiled its first band announcements for this year’s event. Now firmly established as one of the jewels in the Northern festival crown, Deer Shed returns for its sixth annual outing over the last weekend July. And what a weekend it promises to be if the first artists for Deer Shed Festival 6 are anything to go by.

Being welcomed to the glorious Baldersby Park site in Topcliffe, North Yorkshire this year will be John Grant, Billy Bragg, The Unthanks, The Wedding Present, Dan Croll, The Felice Brothers, Ibibio Sound Machine, Honeyblood, Black Rivers, Emmy The Great, Damien Dempsey, James Yorkston, Diagrams, Menace Beach, Kiran Leonard, The Pictish Trail, The Lost Brothers, Lisa O’Neill, Fatherson, Eliza Shaddad, Curtis Eller, Rozi Plain, Cattle And Cane, Serious Sam Barrett, Furs, Maia and Deborah Rose with the promise of much more music still to come in the coming weeks……

Given the growing popularity of this excellent festival it is little wonder to know that half of the tickets have already been sold, and that was even before yesterday’s announcement.
