Deer Shed Festival 6 has announced the final artists to be added to its already cracking music line-up. Joining headliners John Grant, Billy Bragg and The Unthanks, plus a wonderful supporting cast, in North Yorkshire on the last weekend in July will be Villagers, Du Blonde, Dutch Uncles, Fransisco The Man, All Tvvins and Holy Moly & the Crackers

The twice Mercury Prize nominated Villagers will be making a most welcome return to Deer Shed, three years after first appearing at the festival. Another person coming back to the sumptuous surroundings of Baldersby Park will be Beth Jeans Houghton. She was also last here in 2012 when she played the main stage with the Hooves of Destiny. This time around she headlines the Lodge Stage on Friday night in her current guise as Du Blonde. Completing an incredibly strong triumvirate of returnees from 2012 will be Dutch Uncles who will be bringing their quirky art-rock to the festival’s main stage on Saturday evening.

When further account is taken of the unbridled indie-pop of Ireland’s All Tvvins, the Los Angelean four-piece Francisco The Man’s heady hybrid of regional Mexican, Italian pop and shoegaze, and Holy Moly & the Crackers from Newcastle with their blend of traditional folk, Delta blues, punk and ska, the tremendous musical diversity from this year’s international line-up is even more apparent.
