A New York two-piece that gained a serving of recognition in the UK via their first release back in 2013 return with their first full-length for Audio AntiHero, the teasingly titled ‘Kind of Blah.’

It’s a battered, squinting beauty of an album that sees Dan Bateman’s vocals fall from falsetto to whisper, his guitar scratching away restlessly over Thomas White’s savvy but pounding drums. Held within are snapshots of Americana seen through a distorted lens and set to tunes that rival the finest moments of Meat Puppets or Silver Jews while also offering something distinct, different and inexplicably moving.

The found footage video for ‘All Dogs Go To Heaven’ goes a long way to explaining the damaged charm of the record itself – a collection of warped, half-remembered images contrasted with moments of celebration and confusion.

It’s a song that grows and grows with each listen and should hopefully lead you directly to their new record. available now.
