FESTIVAL GUIDE: 10 Best Metropolitan Festivals 7

NEWS: Food, craft beer and more from Visions Festival 2015

imageOnly in its third year, London’s Visions Festival has secured a reputation as one of the capital’s best music events. This year’s line-up already includes the likes of psychedelic dazzlers Peaking Lights, 70s rock enthusiast Theo Verney and electronic horror aficionado Gazelle Twin.

Taking place across different warehouse venues, art spaces, courtyards, rooftop, churches and outdoor areas of London Fields, it is a true DIY success and a testimony to the vision of its tastemaker creators, London promoters RFB, Sexbeat and Bird on the Wire.

Following the success of last year’s Visions market, the festival has expanded this popular feature that will include independent creative outlets like Seven Doors Tattoo, Zine Swap library, Break Down Press comic stall, Black Wax Record shack and Ditto Press selling their prints and books. Illustrator Babek Ganjei will also be returning to Visions to create a comic strip featuring all of this year’s artists.

Designers Narcsville & Pat Lunch are a welcome addition to the 2015 proceedings. They will be running screen printing classes as well as giving their students a great opportunity to visit their studio and learn more about their craft.

Food and drink are also an important part of Visions, with a craft beer and street food festival taking place in the beautiful gardens of St John’s At Hackney Church. The bar will be hosted by the Adam And Eve and the craft beer selection curated by the excellent Hackney based The Five Points Brewing Company, and features independent brewers including One Mile End, Hackney Brewery, Beavertown and Pressure Drop.

London’s finest traders, including Yard Sale Pizza, Oh My Dog burgers and hot dogs, Mama’s Jerk Station Caribbean cuisine and Taco Queen, will all be having stalls at the festivals. Visions craft beer and food festival will be open to the public as well as festival ticket holders.
