One of the most exciting propositions out there at present, in GIITTV’s opinion, is Danish singer songwriter Bjarke Bendtsen and his band of merry men, more formally known as The Migrant.

Compared to the likes of Thom Yorke and Tim Buckley by Rolling Stone magazine, we’re pretty sure that big things are in store for the Scandinavian wizard, who releases the track ‘Silence‘ from his forthcoming new album, ‘Flood‘.

See why we’re so passionate about this particular artist right here:

If that’s whetted your appetite, you will quite rightly be thrilled to know that you haven’t missed out, for the band will be returning for a glut of gigs in the UK and Europe this winter, in support of the album, which will be reissued by Cardiff label Rockpie to brighten up the gloom of the long, dark season ahead.

The album was recorded live at a summer cottage in the group’s homeland, this stripped back way of working providing the blank canvas from which they were able to assimilate their own evocative musical masterwork.

You’ll have to be quick, but if you’re as smitten as we are, here’s a full list of the forthcoming live dates:
