NEWS: Long Division 2016 first line up announcement

longdivision_BLACK EDITED copyFollowing a successful crowdfunding campaign, flag bearer for DIY festival culture, Wakefield’s Long Division, is returning with its first 2016 line up announcement.

Hailing from Glasgow with a new album under their belt, recently reformed BIS are legendary champions of DIY ethos, whose joyous and dedicated aesthetic makes them a perfect match for Long Division.

Many Long Division fans remember Los Campesinos! gloriously chaotic festival debut in 2011. As they prepare to release their sixth album and celebrate their tenth year together, the band will be returning to Wakefield to kick off the proceedings on Saturday 10th June 2016.

Cementing the ethos of the festival and new for the 2016 edition, bands can apply to play through a simple form on the Long Division website via the artist submission.

Tickets for the Saturday are now on sale, keeping the 2015 price of £25. Building on and trying to get more young festival goers into music, the festival is also offering a reduction to just £15 for 18 – 21 year olds and £10 for 16 – 17 year olds, making Long Division one of the best value and friendliest festivals around.

Long Division will host 90 bands across 7 venues in Wakefield city centre over the weekend of the 10th – 12th June 2016.
