Exciting London collective Glue release their debut EP, Balloon on 4 July. Balloon was largely influenced by life in West Ham, London and significant events in the band’s lives. According to the band their songs cover themes of ‘escape, resistance, alienation, hope, love and self-determination.’
We have the honour of premiering the video for ‘Peace For Now’ a rambunctious ode to self-determination that, in an era of political uncertainty and dead-ended ‘urban regeneration’ that’s pushing people to the margins. A message loaded stream of consciousness art-rock stomp that skirts the lines between the angularity of Pavement, the electro sprawl of LCD Soundsystem and the big-hearted anthems of The Replacements.
