NEWS: Metronomy unveil new track ‘Hang Me Out To Dry’ featuring Robyn

Indie-electro outfit Metronomy are releasing their fourth album Summer 08 on Friday.  Three tracks from the LP have previously been shared, including the stompers ‘Old Skool’ and ‘Back Together,’ and the slightly slower jam ‘Night Owl.’

Just a couple of days away from the album’s release, mastermind Joe Mount has shared a new track, ‘Hang Me Out to Dry.’  It features Swedish pop star Robyn, who sings the somewhat spacey hook.  The rest of the song is characterised by a typically nonchalant performance by Mount, as well as a decidedly rubbery bassline that punctuates the chorus.  While Summer 08 is meant to hark back to Mount’s days producing high-octane beats and synths on Nights Out, this new song is definitely a bit more laid back.  Listen below.
