When: 11th-13th May 2017
Where: Wrexham, North Wales
This year’s FOCUS Wales saw more than 7000 people descending on Wrexham for four days of music and arts, with acts such as The Joy Formidable, The Magic Numbers, Gwenno, The Sunshine Underground and Los Campesinos! all playing. There were also a number of keynote talks and panel discussions, including with punk icon Viv Albertine and New Order and Joy Division founding member Peter Hook, as well as representatives from other music companies around the world, such as SXSW. A spokesperson for FOCUS Wales said: “This has been by far and away the most successful edition of the festival ever! We’re really looking forward to building on this year’s success and making 2017 even more special.”
Next May, the organisers are hoping to expand the festival’s arts programme and add more headline acts to the 200 new music artists from the UK and beyond. The first acts are set to be announced in the Autumn, but a limited amount of Super Earlybird passes (which includes access to the whole three-day festival and exclusive VIP events for £30) are now available.
