NEWS: Dinosaur Jr. share ‘Solo Extractions’ from upcoming new album

NEWS: Dinosaur Jr. reveal video for ‘Goin’ Down’

Alt-rockers Dinosaur Jr recently released their new LP Give a Glimpse of What Yer Not via Jagjaguwar, their fourth since reforming the original line-up in 2006.  The album distils everything that’s great about the band into a relatively lean 45 minutes of riffs, hooks and some slacker attitude, even getting occasionally grungy.

The album’s opener ‘Goin’ Down’ was originally aired in the lead up to Give a Glimpse’s release but now it has a new video directed by renowned photographer and videographer Atiba Jefferson.  It continues the skateboarding theme started in ‘Tiny’ (where J Mascis’ dog had a go at skating) and was filmed at Brooklyn’s House of Vans.  The clip captures the band as they marvel over the skills of skateboarding legends Christian Hosol and Harry Jumonji and others.  Watch below.

Dinosaur Jr. are also heading out on a series of November dates in the UK to support the new album.  Details below.

14th November – Motion, Bristol
15th November – Vicar Street, Dublin
17th November – ABC1, Glasgow
18th November – Forum, London
19th November – Albert Hall, Manchester
