NEWS: Georgia Ruth announces new LP ‘Fossil Scale,’ shares ‘The Doldrums’

NEWS: Georgia Ruth shares new video for ‘Fossil Scale’

Welsh singer-songwriter and harpist Georgia Ruth is set to release her new album Fossil Scale on 7th October via Navigator Records.  The follow up to 2013’s Welsh Music Prize winning album Week of Pines sees Ruth switching her harp for the piano, and attempting to find a more expansive, but also ambient, sound.  Having previously shared first single ‘The Doldrums,’ Ruth is now giving us another taste of what to expect with the title track.

Fossil Scale’ sees airy guitars married with ethereal electronics and Ruth’s own distinctively coy vocals.  In the accompanying video, directed by Eilir Pierce, she takes a trip down the beach, where an encounter with what at first seems to be a dead body leads to a surreal tea party and being backed by a trio of haunting dancers.  Watch below.

Ruth has also shared a remix of the track by producer Kayla Painter.  Listen below.
