NEWS: Lanterns on the Lake share ‘The Crawl’ video, announce new UK tour

Chamber-rock outfit Lanterns on the Lake released their critically acclaimed third album Beings about ten months ago, but have now shared the video for one of its standout tracks, ‘The Crawl.’  Directed by James Alexander Grieves, the clip takes place in 1953 and captures the feeling of nostalgia and romance at an organised dance.

Grieves says: “There’s something quite haunting about [The Crawl] there are moments of often unusual, evocative imagery in the lyrics but there’s also this nostalgic, poetic, romantic quality to it.  The video is a glimpse into a moment in time set in the ballroom dance halls here in the North East of England in the 1950’s.  It captures that special moment between two people – the kind of moments that stay with us for a lifetime; where everything around you stops and you leave the world outside.”  Watch below.

The band have also announced a new UK tour, kicking off in December and taking in the length and breadth of the country.  Fittingly, it starts off at The Lantern and ends pretty close to a lake.  Details below.
