NEWS: Young Romance announce debut album ‘Another’s Blood’

London-based rock duo Young Romance have announced that they’ll be releasing their long-awaited debut album Another’s Blood in November via Banquet Records.  The band spent their earlier sows supporting the likes of Mystery Jets and Slow Club, honing their mix of raw garage guitar, powerful vocals and pounding drums into an unstoppable, dark force.

The band have said: “We made the album ourselves […] It has been quite a DIY effort.  We felt that we had reached a point after working with different producers that we knew what we wanted to make musically.  We experimented with different recording techniques through tape machines and various different distortion and echo effects units to help enhance the sound.  We’ve fought very hard to create the music that we want and believe in, rather than what would appeal to a mass audience.  We’re not sure that we fit into any specific genre but I don’t think you really have to anymore.”

To coincide with the announcement, the duo have also shared the album’s first single ‘Disappear.’  It’s a typically thunderous number that harks back to the scuzziness of Jesus & Mary Chain and sees the band at their most ferocious.  Listen below.

The pair will be playing an album launch show at The Victoria in Dalston, London on 16th November.
