NEWS: The Flaming Lips unveil details of new album ‘Oczy Mlody’

Four years on from their last solo effort The Terror, and two years since their collaborative album With a Little Help From My Fwends, cult psych-pop outfit The Flaming Lips have announced details of their new LP.  Oczy Mlody will be released on 13th January 2017 via Bella Union and has been produced by the band alongside Dave Fridmann.  Recent collaborator Miley Cyrus will once again be teaming up with the band briefly on the record, providing vocals for LP closer ‘We a Famly.’  When asked what Oczy Mlody sounded like, frontman Wayne Coyne said that it would be “like Syd Barrett meets A$AP Rocky and they get trapped in a fairy tale from the future.”

As a taster of what to expect from that blend, the group have shared new single ‘The Castle’ and a video.  It shows a young girl acting out different situations with animations drawn across her face and hands, covering her in imaginative landscapes and imagery.  Watch below.

The band will also be playing a couple of dates in the UK to support the release of Oczy Mlody.  Details below.
