Track Of The Day #938: Ex Comets - From Roswell With Love

Track Of The Day #938: Ex Comets – From Roswell With Love

If the idea of Pixies sounding like their old selves, but with Public Service Broadcasting backing them up, and Michael Stipe as their main songwriter appeals to you, then look no further than Leicester’s exquisite Ex Comets. And quite frankly, if the idea doesn’t appeal to you, we can no longer be friends.  There is no hope for you.

From Roswell With Love‘, which is released through Robot Needs Home on 31st October, drips with the same mysterious intrigue that fuelled the young Black Francis’s deep rooted obsession with the unknown.  It displays a cynical, perhaps even paranoid distrust of the corporate world that we live in, with more than a hint of a conspiracy theory about it.

Brace yourselves folks, this is one of the best tracks you’ll hear this year.  And if you disagree, I am going to land my spaceship outside your house and dissect you to find out what the heck is wrong with you…
