NEWS: Georgia Ruth shares video for ‘Cloudbroke’

Welsh Music Prize winner, singer-songwriter and harpist Georgia Ruth released her new album Fossil Scale back in October via Navigator Records.  The record saw her departing away from the harp and attempting to find a more expansive yet ambient sound to that of her Welsh Music Prize-winning LP Week of Pines.

The video for new single ‘Cloudbroke’ has once again been directed by Eilir Pierce and choreographed by Eddie Ladd, who stars in the clip alongside dancers Rebecca Smith-Williams and Eluned Owen.  Together, they cut mysterious, robe-clothed figures on the beach while Ruth looks on and contemplates.  In some ways, it’s almost a spiritual successor to ‘Fossil Scale,’ which was also set on the shore.  Watch below.

Ewan Pearson has also remixed the track, which you can listen to here.  In addition, Georgia Ruth will also be playing at the Servant Jazz Quarters in London on 2nd February 2017.
