NEWS: Elbow to release new album ‘Little Fictions’ in February

Elbow are set to return with their seventh album on 3rd February 2017.  Called Little Fictions, the LP was recorded in both Scotland and Manchester and sees the band collaborating with The Halle Orchestra, the Halle Ancoats Community Choir and members of London Contemporary Voices as well as session drummer Alex Reeves.

While their last record The Take Off and Landing of Everything was written individually by each band member, this time around they worked collaboratively to write and finalise each song.  With the departure of drummer Richard Jupp before recording, the band also decided to take a different approach to the rhythm of the album, which is more diverse and promises to move from trip hop to go-go.

Recently the band also unveiled the first single from the album, ‘Magnificent (She Says),’ which guitarist Mark Potter described as “the song people have been waiting for us to write.”  He continued to say that they want to “let the song go where it needed to, not to back out of the big chorus because that was what it needed.”  Listen below.
