American husband and wife duo Alaina and Patrick – better known as indie pop duo Tennis – are returning with their new album Yours Conditionally on 10th March 2017. Released via their own label Mutually Detrimental, the album is set to return to their nautical roots that helped to inspire their debut album. It’s what Alaina calls a “grandiose gesture” of using the past to invigorate the present, but with the duo digging into darker territory of identity and self-sacrifice.
The band have also released a new video for the album’s first single ‘In the Morning I’ll Be Better.’ Directed by Luca Venter, the video is a 70s-styled clip that sees the pair donning a number of increasingly glistening outfits while performing the aching pop song. It’s deeply reminiscent of old videos by the likes of ABBA, and is all the more endearing for it. Watch below.
