NEWS: British Sea Power announce new album ‘Let the Dancers Inherit the Party’

Iconic British indie band British Sea Power are set to return with a new album this Spring. Let the Dancers Inherit the Party is set for release on 31st March, and is their first new album since 2013’s Machineries of Joy. It’s been recorded in London, Sussex and the Isle of Skye.  The record is not intended to be melancholy, but does have some heavy themes behind it, as the band have let a range of current affairs (including lying politicians, social media echo chambers and the proliferation of clickbait) inform the songs.

To coincide with the announcement, the band have also shared lead single ‘Bad Bohemian,’ which is also the album opener.  The track is quintessential BSP with autumnal vibes.  Listen below.

The band are also heading out on a UK tour in April.  Tickets are on sale now.  Details below.

6th April – Trinity, Bristol
7th April – Church, Leeds
8th April – Riverside, Newcastle
9th April – Liquid Rooms, Edinburgh
11th April – Shepherd’s Bush Empire, London
13th April – O2 Academy 2, Birmingham
