PREVIEW: Reveal Records 10 year anniversary concert

Starting as an independent music retailer in Derby in the late 1990s, Reveal Records began life in earnest ten years ago now. In the interim period this most revered of record labels – founded, and still run by Tom Rose – has garnered a most impressive roster of musical talent a number of whom will be convening in less than a fortnight in the small market town of Pocklington in the East Riding of Yorkshire to celebrate a decade of Reveal Records.

Heading up this exclusive 10 year anniversary show at Pocklington Arts Centre on the 11th of March 2017 will be Joan As Police Woman. The Brooklyn singer-songwriter whose career has seen her shift effortlessly from indie-torch singer to alternative pop experimentalist (with her most recent release Let It Be You, a collaboration with fellow New Yorker Benjamin Lazer Davis) by way of pop soul, will be playing the first of two very rare solo shows in the UK (the second is on the following evening at the same venue).

Also scheduled to perform in Pocklington Art Centre’s 200 seat auditorium at this 10th anniversary concert will be fellow Reveal Records artist Kris Drever – the Scots songwriter and guitarist and one third of the renowned experimental folk band Lau – the modern classical composer Richard J. Birkin and, opening the evening’s celebrations, the Birmingham-based singer-songwriter Dan Whitehouse. Whitehouse will also provide support to Joan As Police Woman the following night.

Tickets for this exclusive anniversary concert on Saturday 11th March at 7.45pm (doors at 7pm) are understandably selling very fast. The last few remaining seats can be purchased HERE
