Holly Miranda has aired the video for her super new track ‘Exquisite’ which ruminates on accountability and a search for atonement. The video was directed by TV On The Radio‘s Kyp Malone who also guests on the track, watch it below:
Speaking about the video, which arrives ahead of new album Mutual Horse on February 23rd, Holly says; “Have you met my friend Kyp Malone? Not only does Kyp give the best hugs on the universe, but he has the most beautiful voice, the most insightful and honest lyrics and now to add to that list he has made my absolute favourite music video. These images and animation directly communicate visually where we were emotionally writing this song together. Confronting ourselves. Owning our actions. Asking for forgiveness. I hope you enjoy it.”
Mutual Horse will be Holly’s – formerly of The Jealous Girlfriends, and Karen O’s live band – 4th solo release since emerging on XL with 2010 debut The Magician’s Private Library (produced by Dave Sitek and championed by Kanye West). The new album sees Holly collaborating with various guest personnel, including My Brightest Diamond‘s Shara Nova and Grandaddy/Modest Mouse‘s Jim Fairchild, whilst she’s also a featured artist on the forthcoming new Fishcerspooner album.
