NEWS: Sorry release new single and video

It’s taken a while but Sorry are back with a new song and video for ‘Right Round the Clock’, the first new cut from their debut LP, 925, due in Spring 2020.

It has been a long time coming but as always with the North Londoners, it is well worth the wait.

Pigeonholing them is pointless, they defy classification because as soon as you think you have a handle on them, part way through this new single, then they change tack and drift off on a different wind.

It kicks off with a saxophone, slow sultry loungebar intro but breaks down very quickly with a hip hop beat and simple piano line as Asha and Louis pull apart the motives and intentions of a girl at their local bar.

Live they are a loud guitar band and this seems a natural inclination as the chorus hits its stride. “You drive yourself crazy, right round the clock”

Because of the nature of their songwriting, a video is a natural accompaniment to each single they release, their lyrics are stories, protagonists and their exploits, which results in each release becoming a multimedia event, not just another single.

They’ve been around a while now but they have refused to rush a full LP but finally it is due. Further news to follow on that soon . In the meantime we have another ace single to enjoy.
