NEWS: SISTERAY blast PM’s ‘sexist, homophobic’ banter as they launch new single ‘All Boys Club’.

SISTERAY have blasted the ‘sexist, homophobic’ language of Tory leader Boris Johnson in a statement accompanying their new single ‘All Boys Club’.

“It’s not a surprise at all that female MPs are stepping down from frontline politics,” says Dan Connolly, guitarist with the London four piece.

“It seems like we’ve taken many steps backwards and we’re further behind than we were 10 years ago. We’re more divided than we’ve ever been and we have a Prime Minister that chalks up sexist, homophobic comments as ‘banter’.”

Women’s groups have also expressed alarm at the number of female MPs – around 20 – quitting their jobs before the current election, blaming the PM’s aggressive language alongside death and rape threats via social media.

The song, released as a single on Vallance Records on November 8, attacks the elitist nature of society’s upper echelons, impenetrable to women and anyone else who doesn’t fit the male, pale and stale template,

The band, who have previously embraced controversial political subjects such as Brexit and class struggle in their songs, are venturing out on a full Uk tour in support of the single this month.
