In advance of Marina’s new album Electra Heart, slotted for release on 679 / Atlantic at the end of this month, she has new single ‘Primadonna’ out on April 16th. It’s Marina And The Diamonds back with a vengeance, all glossy and beautifully produced, catchy as hell, and leaving us only to guess at just how honest and autobiographical this is, or alternatively, just how far her tongue is stuffed into her cheek. “I can’t help that I need it all, the prima donna life….” Yep, that sounds like Ms. Diamandis’ campaign for world domination , and it’s utterly gorgeous.
There’s a string of UK dates before she heads out to support Coldplay.
