Twin Atlantic announce Reading slot and new single ‘Time For You To Stand Up’

Following the release of their critically acclaimed album ‘Free’, Twin Atlantic rocked the UK on their headline tour which included a SOLD OUT home town show at Glasgow’s Barrowlands – quite an accomplishment for a band touring their debut album release!

2011 is shaping up to be the year of Twin Atlantic.  Following a UK Top 40 and number 3 album in the rock chart.  The band have just been announced for Reading and Leeds festivals, Having spent most of 2010 touring with the likes of My Chemical Romance, blink-182 and The
Gaslight Anthem, their journey has been a rollercoaster that has led the release of their full-length debut album ‘Free’ .

Twin Atlantic’s next single “Time For You To Stand Up” is released on July 11th and features the exclusive B-sides ‘Cherry Slut’ and ‘Babylonian Throwdown’. The band recently shot the video in an East London warehouse with directors Ben & Jos (Lethal

Twin Atlantic will be hitting the UK and European festival circuit this summer with performances confirmed at T In The Park, Boardmasters
as well as hitting the mainland at the Hurricane and Southsidefestivals in Germany.

Vocalist/guitarist Sam McTrusty commented: “We totally relish in the summer festivals.  There is always such an amazing communal vibe when that many people come together to have a good time. It’s a dream scenario for us to be a part of some incredible lineups this summer. T in the Park and Reading and Leeds are particular highlights. Every slot we have this summer will be a special one. We are on a high as a band and are exactly where we want to be.”
