Cher Lloyd set to release Swagger Jagger

Last week Cher Lloyd broke her relative silence and hit back against those responsible for the leak of her new single “Swagger Jagger”.

Via her Twitter account the X-Factor contestant claimed, “I’ve never been this upset ever! I worked so hard, and people wanna ruin it for me, if you wanted to hurt me you’ve done a great job“. She went on to threaten, “please dont do this to me. i wish i was at home with my family, i’ve been through enough this year. me and my brats are stronger than this!! come onnnn! lets get em !!!!

I’m not sure who she was hoping to rouse with that last sentence, as no doubt most people follow her account for exactly that kind of outburst. Example certainly isn’t a fan. Ironically he’s been quoted as saying, “Cher Lloyd’s song leaked. The biggest crime since she got a record deal.” Meanwhile “Kickstart” continues to melt everyone’s eardrums. While Alexandra Burke and various members of The Saturdays valiantly defended the teen, Cheryl Cole has reportedly been banned from collaborating with Lloyd by Will.i.am, which doesn’t spell good things for that future American take over.

Besides confirming pop stars have terrible grammar, this all points to troubled tides for “Swagger Jagger” – an already appalling song.

Ugh.

The single is due for release on July 31st through – wait for it – Syco! Whatever happened to Matt Cardle getting exclusive access to your label, Simon? Didn’t JLS have to wait a year before they could release anything?
