Cosmo Jarvis releases new single ‘My Day’

With the release of his brilliant sophomore album ‘Is The World Strange Or Am I Strange?‘ drawing ever closer, Cosmo Jarvis has announced that ‘My Day‘ will be released as a single package digitally from next Monday, 19th September, with the track itself now available for free download.

To run alongside the release of the mp3, Cosmo has uploaded an EPK/mini documentary centred on his work with the new album and his home studio.

‘My Day’ is no less than a brilliant example of Cosmo’s musical diversity – swapping the already chartered ‘Gay Pirate’ ridden waters of ukuleles and shanties for a far more jugular-aimed slab of guitar noise. Retaining that sense of post-adolescent disillusionment leaves Cosmo to casually deride this society of his, showing an affably pensive nature in amongst the melee.

Following on from the release of recent singles ‘Gay Pirates’ and ‘Sure As Hell Not Jesus’ – two of the most potent examples of Cosmo’s infectious and inimitable character to date – the album is awash with every trait and affable nuance that has seen Cosmo being heralded as one of the most special talents around by everyone from Brian Eno to Stephen Fry. ‘Is The World Strange or Am I Strange?’ is sure-fire proof that those words have not been mislaid and encapsulates all of the peerless musical traits that have seen Cosmo’s rise to date.

Cosmo’s UK tour in support of the new album is due to start this Wednesday, 14th September.
