Lo-fi indie pop maestros Life In Film announce headline date at Cargo on October 5th.


The band will then be heading out on a tour of the UK with The Rifles to play the following dates:

26th October – Junction: Cambridge
27th October – Arts Centre: Norwich
28th October – Sugarmill: Stoke
29th October – Rescue Rooms: Nottingham
30th October – Foundry: Sheffield

1st November – Academy 3: Manchester
2nd November – Cockpit: Leeds
3rd November – 02 Academy: Newcastle
4th November – PJ Mollies: Dunfermline
5th November – The Garage: Glasgow
7th November – 02 Academy 2: Birmingham
8th November – Thekla: Bristol
9th November – Wedgewood Rooms: Portsmouth
11th November – HMV Forum: London

The band are currently in the studio with prolific producer Stephen Street putting the finishing touches to their long awaited debut album which is due out early 2012.

Life In Film had an early nod of approval by Burberry’s creative director Christopher Bailey, who discovered the band  after watching a session the band did for Watch Listen & Tell. The band have since featured in advertising campaigns for the brand and the band have since shot numerous acoustic sessions.

With influences ranging from The Smiths and Joy Division through to The Strokes and The Cure, they exhibit an infectious immediacy. Their melodic mercurial urban anthems are a remarkable breath of fresh air. Watch this space for more to come in 2011 from Life In Film…
