‘Hello Sadness‘ is the name of Los Campesinos!‘s first single (released 21st November) to be taken from the album of the same name, which sees the light of day on Wichita on November 14th 2011.
Gareth Campesinos! explains “Hello Sadness is a song of longing, it’s a hand that once held and felt, but now claws and grasps at your own chest. The impressions love leaves, the bleaching caused by someone else’s light and what remains when they’ve left.”
‘Hello Sadness’ (the album) constitutes another step in the Los Campesinos! story, and a turn of the corner. Their most lean, direct, coherent, and simultaneously exhilarating and debilitating collection of songs to date.
To celebrate the release the band will play three album launches across three continents (London, New York and Tokyo) and sandwich a small UK jaunt in-between:
