Soaring-synths, deliciously-distant vocals and Atari-esque electronica are the staple ingredients for Icona Pop’s debut EP, ‘Night’s Like This’ – released on the 10th of October.

The Swedish duo, made up of Aino Jawo and Caroline Hjelt, met by chance on a drunken night out in Stockholm. Aino, looking to get over her recent break up hit the city’s bars hard, woke up the next day with not only a brutal hangover but a new songwriting partner in Caroline.  They connected over a love of electronic pop and quickly started working together on songs for the newly formed ‘Icona Pop’ with producers such as Patrick Berger (Robyn) and Elof Loelv (Niki and the Dove).

The ‘Nights Like This EP’ features the Berger-produced ‘Manners’, which has garnered support from tastemakers and artists alike, from Dolce & Gabbana,  Kitsuné, and The Guardian to Chiddy Bang’s Hype Machine-topping ‘Mind Your Manners’ reworking.
