FLATS announce UK tour

Flats

London four-piece FLATS have announced on their website that they will play a handful of live dates in December, their first shows since they played with NOLA sludge legends EYEHATEGOD, clashed with Metallica at Sonisphere and were personally requested by Morrissey to support him on his UK tour this Summer.

The dates, which will include a London show at Camp Basement on the 20th of December, will feature the band’s new guitarist Paul Angeles and will be the first chance to hear a selection of new tracks from their forthcoming album ‘Better Living’, which is due for release on Sweatshop Records / One Little Indian in April 2012.

The new album was self produced and recorded in the band’s own Hackney studio over the last few months and will feature ten brand new tracks including the forthcoming single ‘Country’ which is set for release in February 2012. Released on seven inch vinyl and available to download, the single is accompanied by a video directed by David Blanco (Kanye West etc) and is reported to depict the most brutal, epic Sunday league hockey match ever played.

Following the live dates, the FLATS line up of Craig E. Pierce (Bass), Daniel Devine (Vocals), Paul Angeles (Guitar) and Samir Eskanda (Drums) will  broadcast a live performance  from their studio on the 21st of December which will be broadcast on their website, and have posted a studio master version of the opening track from ‘Better Living’ on their Tumblr.
