Popular Computer is Sylvain Dalido from Paris, France. Tiefschwarz picked up his track ‘I Can’t Forget You’ for their legendary Misch Masch mix album. Subsequently it was released by Kitsuné as a single and featured on the Kitsuné Fur compilation. Popular Computer became one of the original Kitsuné artists and staff producers. His tracks ‘Darling’, ‘Clone Age’ and ‘Next Level Pope’ were featured on the Kitsuné X, inaugural Kitsuné Maison and 2nd Maison compilations, respectively.

Popular Computer gained further exposure through a wide range of unique remix work. His remixes of New Young Pony Club, Mylo, Hot Chip, Pacific!, The Whip & Japanese electro superstar Shinichi Osawa made waves around the world and led to DJ work across Europe and Asia, including headlining the infamous Tokyo club, Womb.

Three years later, Popular Computer returns with an extraordinary new album called ‘LiTE‘. Beautifully sunny summer sounds mixed with the Japanese simplicity for melody and arrangement. In a disposable age, ‘LiTE’ is lovingly crafted; a thoroughly modern piece of work and a very distinct take on French electronic music. Not only is ‘LiTE beautifully produced, but it incites memories of shimmery blue Mediterranean waters and holidays on yachts off the coast of St Tropez; it’s an album that promotes the calm and the sparkly simultaneously with it’s clear production and enchanting synthetic rhythms.

Already picking up love from The Magician, Villa, Flight Facilities, Boris Dlugosch and Axwell, ‘LiTE’ is coming out at the start of 2012 on new label home, Schmooze (Chilly Gonzales, Edwin Van Cleef and Housse De Racket).  Single ‘Lointain‘, featuring remixes from Pharao Black Magic, plus hot, young North American producers Robotaki and Blue Satellite, will precede it.

‘LiTE’ will be released 13th February via Schmooze Recordings.
