Summer isn’t yet in sight although Distant Neighbourhood could fool us into thinking it is. Alice and Kacey gift us with a sun-sticky break-up, one that involves pouting instead of panda eyes and snot soaked tissues – sad but still pretty. The song is as cool and bored as the transatlantic girl/boy duo that penned it. The sleepy dual harmonies and wishy washy lyrics are ambiguous enough to trick the listener into sulking along. It will have you revelling and sighing nostalgically at time distorted memories of dead end summer romances and all that weed-numbed pain.
