One year ago, our sister site Gin In Teacups brought to the online scene, a new and unique format for music sessions and interviews. A year after, they’re still here, providing an outlet for music and asking all those questions about life, the universe and everything else. They are celebrating it with a BRILLIANT looking first ‘Gin In Teacups’ Birthday Party on Friday the 23rd March at The Barfly, Camden more info here https://www.facebook.com/events/122113241249767/

Here’s what they do:
Website – http://www.GinInTeacups.co.uk
Acoustic Sessions: our signature acoustic sessions normally go hand in hand with our quirky interviews. We usually send our producers to the artists’ elected place, or, we have the most amazing pleasure to host sessions in our very own headquarters’ lounge, Muswell Hill, North London.
Industry Interviews : dedicated to get music business men and women chatting and have them tell us the stories behind the curtains and under the glitter.
Diaries : Where we ourselves are gladly kidnapped and join a band on tour for a couple of dates, shooting what life is like. No. Script. Whatsoever. So far we’ve had the pleasure to discover new places around Europe in the company of Carl Barât, Kieran Leonard and Katzenjammer!
We believe in quality, artistically and technically. Our interviews cover subjects and areas that go beyond the short-life of an album release. We think the musicians we decide to work with, are brilliant human beings worth discovering and taking time over. We love to take journeys around their minds.
As for the technical approach, all of our videos are filmed with multiple HD cameras (up to three) and dedicated audio equipment (two mics and a four track recorder). This is to provide the best possible product for our viewers, and because the art we humbly provide an outlet for, deserves the best of care.
We try to bring a human touch that will open a connection with both artists and viewers, as a two way communication requires a personal touch! We personally take care of all the filming, as well as introducing every video ourselves from our lounge.
We are not just a video ‘add-on’: contrary to most of the sessions out there, we’re not the simple ‘TV’ extension of an already existing website/magazine. This is because we understand how the readers of a music website and the viewers of music related videos, are crucially different audiences: they expect different things. A simple blog expansion just won’t provide for both. Rather than the simple article-and-comments feedback model you can see on many websites, a video-centered project like ours, is very different. Instead of dealing with a general audience, we try and take every single Gin Connoisseur right into our lounge at the start of every video, presenting it in our very own personal way, just like friends would do for book and record clubs.
