Punk rock legends The Bouncing Souls last week released their ninth studio album to date, that in itself deserves a bow dedicated to them. These guys have been making music nearly as long as I have been alive, makes me personally feel privileged to even be reviewing a band of such calibre.

As they dive head first into a cracking album opener, ‘Baptized’, it is obvious how this album is going to pan out; completely dazzled in anthemic tracks from beginning to end.

‘Coin Toss Girl’ is another favourite, with its head bopping guitars and sing-a-long dynamics. A mention must be made to the lyrics of this track, them embed themselves into your mind resulting in the ability to chant along with them almost instantly. In fact all the album tracks throughout the album have this same trait, therefore, it can be claim to be another cracking pop punk gem.

Other tracks that are most certainly worth mentions are title track, ‘Comet’, as well as ‘We Love Fun’ and ‘D F A’, they all complete bangers! There really is no rest at all throughout the whole album, a constant rockstar jig must be had through its entire playthrough – beyond epic to say the least!

Overall, as expected The Bouncing Souls do it again, for a ninth album you may have preconceptions that it may lag these guys have a knack at persistantly making quality music, nearly a quarter of a century old and still smashing out absolute pop punk masterpieces! Hats off to them!
